Christine Romans, CNN Early Start anchor and top business correspondent, has is leaving the cable news network. Romans revealed her decision Friday, July 28 2023, morning during an on-air farewell on CNN This Morning.

Announcing her decision on the air Friday morning, the network’s chief business correspondent said, “It has been a pleasure waking up early for you for so many years to get your morning started.”
“I love CNN dearly. I have loved my 24-year run here, 24 years right? But I have decided I am ready for a new chapter. I am full of gratitude for my CNN family. It is a family. Everybody here are my friends. And I am excited for the challenges ahead.”

Christine Romans, who has been a fixture on CNN’s business coverage since 1999 and on the morning show for the past decade, is thought to have taken the choice to quit recently. She is unlikely to move on to another TV news competitor.
