Why did Axl Rose Sue Guitar Hero?

In late 2010, Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose filed a $20 million (£12.6m), lawsuit against Guitar Hero III maker Activision for including his former bandmate Slash in the 2007 video game.

Axl Rose accused the corporation of fraud and breach of contract. The lawsuit alleged that Axl Rose only approved the use of GN’R’s “Welcome to the Jungle” in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

According to Axl Rose’s lawsvit, Activision agreed to exclude songs by Velvet Revolver, the band which featured Rose’s main nemesis guitarist Slash.

Axl Rose is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer best known for being the lead vocalist and lyricist of Guns N’ Roses.

Axl Rose has been named one of the greatest singers of all time by Rolling Stone and NME. Rose has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Guns N’ Roses.

Axl Rose performed with Elton John on April 20, 1992, at The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium singing Bohemian Rhapsody as a duet with Elton and also sang “We Will Rock You”.
