Born Elena Salvatrice Greco on March 11, 1933, in Tunis, Milo’s personal life was characterized by romantic entanglements and a series of marriages.

Her first union took place when she was just 15 years old, marrying Cesare Rodighiero. Tragically, the couple’s first child died at birth due to premature delivery, leading to a swift separation after only 21 days of marriage. The marriage was annulled by the Sacred Rota.

Subsequently, Milo entered into matrimony with Moris Ergas, with whom she welcomed her daughter, Debora. However, this marriage, too, eventually concluded. In her third marriage, Milo tied the knot with Ottavio De Lollis, and the union brought forth two children, Ciro and Azzurra. This chapter of her life, like the previous ones, saw its end.

The fourth and final marriage in Sandra Milo’s life was with the Cuban Jorge Ordoñez in 1990. However, as revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair, this relationship was characterized as never being real but rather a strategic move to generate public attention.

Beyond the realm of matrimony, Milo’s romantic liaisons extended to the political arena. In the 1960s, she aligned herself with the Italian Socialist Party, forming close ties with Pietro Nenni. During the 1980s, Milo became romantically involved with Bettino Craxi, the leader of the PSI, describing him as shy but intellectually captivating.

The actress’s last “platonic” relationship unfolded with Alessandro Rorato, a 53-year-old Venetian entrepreneur. Despite their age difference, Milo and Rorato’s connection sparked public interest, with Rorato openly expressing his profound love for the actress.

However, Milo clarified that their bond was more than a typical romantic relationship, describing it as “a platonic, physical and spiritual love” without any exchanged kisses.

Sandra Milo’s journey through love was as multifaceted as her career in the spotlight, leaving behind a narrative filled with passion, heartbreak, and the complexity of human connections.
