Who Were Peter Tobin’s Victims?

Angelika Kluk, a 23-year-old Polish student, was staying at St Patrick’s Church’s presbytery. She was last seen alive with Tobin on September 24, 2006, and is believed to have been attacked by him in the garage attached to the presbytery.

Kluk was beaten, raped, and stabbed, and her body was hidden in an underground chamber beneath the church’s floor near the confessional.

Tobin’s former Bathgate home was searched in June 2007 in connection with the disappearance of 15-year-old Vicky Hamilton, who was last seen on 10 February 1991 while waiting for a bus home to Redding, near Falkirk.

Vicky Hamilton’s remains were later discovered by Lothian and Borders Police on November 14, 2007, in the back garden of 50 Irvine Drive, a house in Margate occupied by Tobin in 1991.

Dinah McNicol, an 18-year-old sixth-former from Tillingham, Essex, was last seen alive on 5 August 1991, hitchhiking home from a music festival in Liphook, Hampshire, with a male friend.

Following new leads, Essex Police reopened the investigation into McNicol’s disappearance in late 2007.

On November 16, 2007, a second body was discovered at 50 Irvine Drive in Margate, which was later confirmed by police to be McNicol’s.
