Daniel Francis Fouts is a former American professional football quarterback who spent his entire 15-year career with the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League.

Fouts played collegiate football for the Oregon Ducks, breaking multiple records and being inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and the University of Oregon Hall of Fame.
Fouts was relatively unknown when he accepted a scholarship offer from the University of Oregon to play for the Ducks in Eugene. During his freshman year (1969), he started for the freshman team.
Fouts made his film debut in 1998, playing himself in Adam Sandler’s football comedy The Waterboy.
