Trisha Paddock, a woman who collapsed at the L.A. marathon has sadly died.

Paddock was a charity runner at the L.A. marathon. Her death was announced via the official L.A. marathon twitter page.
“We are deeply saddened to learn, Trisha Paddock, a Charity Challenge Half Marathon participant tragically passed away in the hospital following Sunday’s race. This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go out to her family and loved ones”.

Paddock was taking part in the Charity Challenge Half Marathon where participants were fundraising for one of the race’s official charities.

In Trisha’s case, The Asian American Drug Abuse Program, a charity who provides Asian Pacific Islanders and other under-served communities with substance abuse services throughout Los Angeles County.
Paddock received medical attention from LAFD personnel who stated that she had “a medical complaint that escalated to a witnessed cardiac arrest”.
“Medical aid was quickly provided by over a dozen personnel, including LAFD Cycle Teams, and the patient was rapidly treated and transported to a local hospital,” Scott said.
Tragically, Paddock passed away on Sunday night.
