Who was Tori Bowie? Olympic Gold Medalist Dead at 32

Tori Bowie was an American track and field athlete who was an Olympic Gold medalist.

She was reported dead by her agency, Icon Management. Her cause of death remains unknown at the moment but it was announced that she was found dead at her home in Florida on May 3, 2023. She was 32 years old.

Born on August 27, 1990, Bowie her career while she was attending Pisgah High School. She competed in track and also played women’s basketball. She was a two-time winner of the state high school championship in the 100m, 200m, and long jump and was part of three 4x100m relay wins.

She attended the University of Southern Mississippi on an athletic scholarship, competing on their track and field team. She won two long jump gold medals in the NCAA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championship.

Bowie won her first major medal at the World Athletic Championships in 2015; she won bronze in the 100m, before going to the Rio Olympics in 2016.

She participated in the World Championship in London in 2017 and raced to a 100m victory. She won two Gold medals that year; in the 4x100m relay and 100m.
