Mohan began working for YouTube in 2015 as Chief Product Officer.

Under his leadership were birthed innovations like YouTube Music, YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, and YouTube Shorts. He also set up and managed a reliable UX team.

Mohan is known for making efforts to tackle extremist content by appearing before Congress and attending a White House summit in 2022 to announce a new anti-extremist guideline.

Mohan became YouTube’s CEO on February 16, 2023, following the resignation of Susan Wojcicki, who led the company for nine years.

Users are pleased with the new development, considering Moha’s previous support of NFTs, and unpopular YouTube programs.

Mohan is happily married to his wife, Hema Sareen Mohan.
