Patrick O’Neal Baldwin Jr. was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top 2021 prospects. He committed to play college basketball for Milwaukee on May 12, 2021. He became the highest-rated recruit in Horizon League history to commit.
Baldwin scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 75-60 win over North Dakota in his college debut.

Baldwin suffered an ankle injury in a 63-49 win over Green Bay on January 5, 2022.
Baldwin made his return on February 4, 2022, in a 70-60 loss against IPFW, shooting 5-15 and 1-6 from three.
Baldwin represented the United States at the FIBA Under-19 World Cup in Latvia in 2021. He led his team to a gold medal by averaging 7.7 points and five rebounds per game.
