Veteran TV Publicity Executive, Robert Crutchfield has died at the age of 85. He died after a prolonged illness on Friday, April 7, 2023.

He was the Executive VP of Publicity, Promotion & Advertising at Universal Television from 1987 to 1997. He helped launch several popular tv shows including Law & Order, Quantum Leap, Northern Exposure, Miami Vice, Murder She Wrote, Magnum P. I, and more.

In 2000, Crutchfield launched Crutchfield Entertainment. The company is a broadcast production studio that specializes in commercial voiceovers, training videos, documentaries, and audiobooks. It is located in the Palm Springs area.
He started his career in publicity in the ’60s when he dropped out of Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas. He took a job as an office boy at MGM’s publicity department and then graduated as a publicist.
Before his death, he produced and starred on a weekly podcast channel he created named As I See It, where he talks about his forty years in Hollywood.
