Rick Froberg was a popular singer and guitarist who was a member of the Drive Like Jehu band. He was also the singer and guitarist for the San Diego-area bands Pitchfork and Hot Snakes. He performed alongside John Reis, the Last of the Juanitas, Thingy, and Obits.

He died of natural causes at the age of 55. His death occurred on June 20, 2023.
“His art made life better. The only thing he loved more than art and rock and roll was his friends. He will forever be remembered for his creativity, vision, and his ability to bring beauty into this world. I love you, Rick. I will miss you for the rest of my life,” Reis wrote.

Froberg was known for several songs including Caress, The Mystic Decade, Step on Chameleon, Luau, Six Wave Hold-Down, Here Come the Rome Plows, 10th Planet, Audit in Progress, and more.
He also contributed to albums like Yank Crime, Jericho Sirens, Audit in Progress, Automatic Midnight, Drive Like Jehu, Suicide Invoice, and more.
