Mayor Olga Sukhenko and her family were shot and thrown into a pit in a forest behind a plot of land with several houses that the Russian forces then took over in the town of Motyzhyn, they said.

Ukrainian Major Killed By Russian Troops

Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said Sunday that Sukhenko and her husband, who was reported to have been kidnapped by Russian troops on March 23, were “killed in captivity.”

The bodies of Olga Sukhenko and her husband Igor and her son Alexander were reportedly discovered in a forest pit on Saturday, April 2, after they were abducted by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s soldiers on March 23.
