Universal Pictures marketing executive and CEO of The Tangent Agency, Marc Becker has been reported dead. He died at the age of 37 after a long battle with cancer.

Born in 1986, he started his career in the entertainment industry as an intern with the Gersh Agency and Capmark while he was still a student at the University of Wisconsin.

Becker then served as director of global brand marketing at Universal from 2018 to 2015 and was supervised and trained by David O’Connor. His agency, Tangent, worked as a marketing and creative agency that worked with several clients including Warner Bros., Mattel, Netflix, NBC Universal, Amazon Studios, and more.

He was the life of the party, with a million-watt smile that could light up any room. So full of energy, passion and life — he had a genuine joy not only for the work he did but more so for the people he connected with,” The Tangent Agency shared in a heartfelt statement.
