Honey Bruce was the wife of Lenny Bruce an American stand-up comedian, social critic, satirist, and actor.

Lenny Bruce met his ex-wife Honey Harlow, a stripper from Manila, Arkansas, in 1951. That year, they married, and Bruce was determined that she would stop working as a stripper.

They moved from New York to the West Coast in 1953, where they found work as a double act at the Cup and Saucer in Los Angeles. Bruce then took part in a show at the club Strip City.

Kitty Bruce, Honey and Lenny’s daughter was born in 1955. Honey and Lenny’s relationship was rocky. Many serious domestic incidents occurred between them, most of which were the result of heavy drug use.

Between 1956 and Lenny’s death in 1966, they broke up and reunited several times. They split up in March 1956 but reunited in July of that year when they went on a nightclub tour in Honolulu.

Honey was arrested for marijuana possession while on the trip. Because she was barred from leaving the island due to her parole conditions, Lenny took advantage of the situation by kidnapping Kitty, who was then one year old. His divorce from Honey was finalised in 1959.
