Who was Landy Parraga? All about the Ecuadorian Model Shot To Death

Landy Párraga Goyburo, born on February 26, 2001 was an Ecuadorian model and beauty pageant contestant.

Hailing from the city of Quevedo, she pursued her education in Social Communication at the Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo (UTB).

Párraga was actively involved in social activities, particularly at a gerontological center in her city, and resided in Santo Domingo, Ecuador.

 Foray into Beauty Contests

Párraga’s journey in beauty contests began with local titles such as queen of her parish and Vicereina of Quevedo.

She furthered her success by becoming the Queen of her university’s faculty and also earned the title of Miss Mesoamerica 2022 in Ecuador.

Her participation extended to international platforms, including the Miss Mesoamérica Ecuador Internacional held in El Salvador.

Representing the Los Ríos Province, Párraga competed in the prestigious Miss Ecuador 2022 pageant, where she emerged as the fifth finalist.

Tragic Death

Unfortunately, Párraga’s life was cut short in a tragic incident known as the Caso Metástasis, which concluded with the death of a drug trafficker named Leandro Norero.

Párraga was mentioned in some chats related to the case. On April 28, while having lunch with her partner at a restaurant, she fell victim to a fatal shooting.

Approximately 20 minutes before the incident, Párraga had posted a photo on social media from the restaurant where she was dining.

She was shot multiple times by a hitman who entered the restaurant and fled the scene with another individual. Despite efforts to save her, Párraga succumbed to her injuries.

Her body was transported to her hometown of Quevedo, where she was laid to rest on April 29 amidst heightened security measures.
