Who was Hersha Parady? ‘Little House on the Prairie’ Actress Dead at 78

Popular actress, Hersha Parady who was known for her role in Little on the Prairie has been reported dead. She appeared as Alice Garvey, a Walnut Grove schoolteacher on the show.

Parady was introduced in the show during the season-four opening episode Castoffs in September 1977. Even though she played a phenomenal role in the show, some fans shared that she used the doll that stood in for the infant as a ‘battering ram.’

“Working with the special effects guys and the L.A. fire department was a first for me, and to be surrounded by ‘controlled’ fire and readied fire extinguishers, I was ready to act up a storm. I loved every minute of it,” she said during an interview.

She also starred in several movies and TV shows including Baarcats!, Mannix, The Waltons, CBS Afternoon Playhouse, NBC Special Treat, The Phoenix, Raw Courage, Hyper Sapien: People from Another Star, The BReak, Kenan & Kel, and more.
