Gary Glenn was an American politician and activist who served in the Michigan House of Representatives as a Republican from 2015 to 2018. He campaigned against mandatory union membership or financial support as a condition of employment.

From 1980 to 1986, as executive director of the Idaho Freedom to Work Committee, he led a successful push to create a state Right-to-work law barring collective bargaining agreements that mandate membership in or financial support of a labor organization as a condition of employment.

Glenn was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer in January 2016, with signs of recurrence in 2018 and 2021. He died on July 27, 2023, at the age of 65.

He campaigned to prohibit compulsory union membership or financial support as a condition of employment.

Former State Rep. dead at 65

Gary Glenn was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in 2016 while serving his first year in the Texas House of Representatives. Gary Glenn and his wife both served the 98th House District, which included Bay and Midland counties.

Gary Glenn, who represented the 98th district for two terms, died on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the age of 65.
