According to a press release authorized by his wife, Isabelle Lajeunesse, he died after a sudden fall at his home on Friday, May 12, 2023. His death was announced by his wife through a journalist named Sylvain Cormier, via a social media post.
“It’s not the same when you’re not here. It would take words to announce this to you not too violently. A joke, which would make you laugh anyway. Something joyful, loving not sad. Something like Francois Guy. He should be the one who wrote this. There is no way to make it a song, which would rhyme with something. Sense. But no, facts are facts, and death is death,” the statement read.
