Elizabeth Hubbard, the actress who was most notable for her roles on The Doctors as Dr. Althea, and As The World Turns as Lucinda Walsh, has been pronounced dead by her son, Jeremy.

“I’ve been so lucky playing Lucinda – a character who could do anything. She could lie, break the law, she didn’t have to be good, and she always had that checkbook ready. Always,” she once shared during an interview.

She died of cancer on Saturday, April 8, 2023. She was 89 years old at the time of death.
She started her career professionally on the Guiding Light on CBS in 1962 when it was live for a little over 10 minutes.
“I replaced some actress who had flipped her lid. They just needed somebody to round out the week, but then they kept me, and the rest is history,” she recalled during an interview.
Hubbard appeared on more than 14 Broadway. She starred in several tv shows. Some of them include I Never Sang for My Father (1970), Bella Jar (1979), Ordinary People (1980), Cold River (1982), and Center Stage (2000).
