Famous Australian DJ and music specialist Ian Bell, 60, is said to have died in Paris while on his way to the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.

According to the Adelaide newspaper The Advertiser, Bell died on May 2 in Paris after having a heart attack.
According to the publication, the DJ died on May 2 during his family’s first stop in Paris on a journey that was supposed to end with the group travelling to the Eurovision in Liverpool, which takes place next week.

In his lengthy and varied career, he has been photographed alongside the likes of Rita Ora and Spice Girl Mel C on the Adelaide club scene in the 1980s and 1990s.
He built a fan base by spinning records at a variety of clubs, including Limbo in the 1980s and Heaven and his own Pop! night on Gouger St in the 1990s.
His interviews, reviews and photos were featured in numerous publications and music websites and he regularly performed at the Big Day Out festival.
His wife Jordan, their daughter Ruby, and his sisters Susan and Janet survive him.
