Just a month ago, ten people were also shot and even more were injured on a subway train.
New York Police Chief of Department Kenneth Corey said at a news conference that police were called to the Canal Street train station at about 11:50 a.m. ET, responding to reports that a person had been shot.
Corey said that upon arrival at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the torso.

The man was later identified as Goldman Sachs employee Daniel Enriquez, 48, of Brooklyn.
According to Corey, witnesses informed police that the suspect was pacing back and forth in a train car before shooting Enriquez at close range and without provocation, before fleeing from the train.
CEO of Goldman Sachs David Solomon called the shooting a “senseless tragedy” and said that Enriquez has been a member of the firm for nine years.
