Carol Higgins Clark was an American mystery author and actress who was the daughter of American best-selling author, Mary Higgins Clark. She began re-typing her mother’s transcripts and also made contributions such as renaming locations and characters, while she was attending Mount Holyoke College.

She became a writer because she wanted to help her mother with her scripts, while also familiarizing herself with the process of writing a book and telling tales.

Clark was reported dead by close sources on Saturday, June 17, 2023. According to reports, she died of appendix cancer on June 12, 2023, in New York. She was 66 at the time of death.

She began her acting career in the 1970s after studying acting in college. She made her debut acting career in the 1975 film Who Killed Amy Land which aired on Good Morning America.
Before that, Clark wrote suspense books just like her mother, however, her books contained a sense of humor, unlike her mother. She once shared that she used her first job experience to develop an idea for her book Ice, where she uses a woman who is working as a dry cleaner as the main character.
