Amanza Smith was previously married to Ralph Brown. He was a successful football player in the NFL. He played for New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings in his decade-long career.

Brown was drafted in the 5th round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. He played four seasons with the Giants from 2000-2003. In his last season with the Giants, Brown contributed in the secondary as a reserve and spot starter and on special teams, providing depth to the defensive backfield.
