George Jung was a drug lord in the United States. Jung first had his stewardess girlfriend transport the drugs on flights in her bags. To maximise earnings, he expanded his business to fly drugs in from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, utilising planes seized from private airports on Cape Cod and expert pilots.

Jung was arrested in 1974, in Chicago for smuggling 660 pounds (300 kg) of marijuana. Jung had stayed at the Playboy Club, where he was supposed to meet a connection who would pick up the marijuana.
The connection was caught for heroin smuggling; however, he revealed to authorities about Jung to receive a lesser sentence.

After his release, he was caught again in Topeka, Kansas in 1994 with 1,754 pounds (796 kg) of cocaine. Later, he pleaded guilty to three counts of conspiracy and was sentenced to 70 years in prison.
This time around, Jung snitched on his ex-partner Carlos Lehder and his sentence was reduced to roughly 20 years. He was released in 2014 but was returned to prison two years later for violating parole by failing to notify his parole officer that he had been to San Diego.
