Daryl Kramp, a well-known Canadian politician, passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 76. The parliament is yet to be decide his replacement.

Kramp had served as the Progressive Conservative Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Hastings—Lennox and Addington from 2018 to 2022.
Following Kramp’s tenure, Ric Bresee stepped into the role after being elected as the new MPP for Hastings—Lennox and Addington in the 2022 Ontario provincial election.
Bresee, a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, boasts deep roots in the region, having been born and raised there.

Before entering politics, Bresee held positions as a municipal councillor and mayor in the Loyalist Township. He also brings experience as a retired teacher and businessman to his new role as MPP.
Bresee has outlined his priorities for the riding, emphasizing job creation, economic growth, and bolstering healthcare services.
Additionally, he has pledged to advocate strongly for rural Ontario, recognizing the unique challenges and opportunities facing these communities.
As Bresee assumes his duties as MPP, the residents of Hastings—Lennox and Addington look forward to his leadership and representation in addressing their needs and concerns.
