Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the titular God of Thunder, with Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt, Jeff Goldblum, and Jaimie Alexander also reprising their roles.

Despite Crowe’s portrayal of Zeus in Love and Thunder, the announcement did not initially indicate how important his character was in the plot.

Nonetheless, Russell Crowe’s Zeus gets his mid-credits scene that sets up a future film. The Zeus Thor appearance may come as a surprise, but it demonstrates what the MCU is working towards beyond Phase 4.

The franchise is always planning, and the Olympians, including Zeus, play an important role.

Russell Ira Crowe is best known for his portrayal of Roman General Maximus Decimus Meridius in the epic historical film Gladiator (2000), for which he received an Academy Award, Broadcast Film Critics Association Award, Empire Award, and London Film Critics Circle Award for Best Leading Actor, as well as ten other nominations.
