Growing Pains is an American television sitcom that aired on ABC from September 24, 1985, to April 25, 1992, and was created by Neal Marlens. The Seaver family of Huntington, Long Island, New York is the focus of the show. Dr Jason Seaver works from home as a psychiatrist because his wife, Maggie has returned to work as a reporter.

Jason has to look after the kids, which include ladies’ men and rebellious troublemaker Mike bookworm honours student Carol and rowdy Ben, who idolises Mike and becomes a troublemaker himself.

Ashley Johnson played the role of Chrissy Seaver the youngest child on Growing Pains. . Johnson joined the Growing Pains cast as Chrissy, the youngest child when she was six years old. Since leaving the Seaver family, the 39-year-old has steadily landed jobs in films and television shows, including What Women Want and Blindspot.

Johnson is the only person to have received the BAFTA Games Award for Performer twice, for her roles in The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Left Behind. She was also nominated for an award for her portrayal in The Last of Us: Part II.
