North Irish actor, Ray Stevenson played the role of Governor Scott Buxton in the Academy Award-winning Indian film, RRR which was released in 2022.

“In 1920, the British Raj, Governor Scott Buxton, and his wife Catherine visit a forest in Adilabad, and abduct Malli, a young girl with a talent for artistry, from the Gond tribe. Enraged by this, the tribe’s guardian Komaram Bheem embarks for Delhi to rescue her, disguising himself as a Muslim man named Akhtar,” the plot of the movie states.

Stevenson started his career in 1998 when he starred in the film The Theory of Flight. He played the role of a gigolo hired to help Helena Bonham Carter’s character lose her virginity.
From 2011 to 2015, he appeared in several movies and tv shows including Kill the Irishman, Thor, The Three Musketeers, G. I. Joe: Retaliation, Jayne Mansfield’s Car, Thor: The Dark World, Divergent, Big Game, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, The Transporter: Refueled, and more.
He died in Italy on Sunday, May 21, 2023, while filming Cassino In Ischia. No cause of death was revealed. The RRR actor was 58 years old.
