The new branding combines the abbreviations TDN and UDN, but the first two letters are also pronounced as the Spanish adjective “tu” (your), so the name may also be read as “Tu deport’s network” (“Your sports network”).

TUDN will be promoted as a multi-platform brand, with closer coordination between the Mexican and American channels, allowing for more studio programming in the morning and midday hours.
