The North and South courses are both 18-hole layouts that were designed by William F. Bell, and the South course is home to the annual Farmers Insurance Open, a PGA Tour event.
The South Course was redesigned in 2001 by Rees Jones in preparation for the 2008 U.S. Open and is now 7,698 yards with a par of 72.
More than 80,000 rounds annually are played on the North Course alone, while the South receives 60,000.
The course features bentgrass greens, Kikuyu fairways, and roughs, and is known for its challenging greens, tight fairways, and deep bunkers. It is considered one of the best public golf courses in the United States.
