Centricus Acquisition Corp. was founded by the London-based global investment firm Centricus, the Monaco-based investment group Heritage and Carlo Calabria.

Centricus Acquisition Corp., is owned and chaired by Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio.
The firm had raised $345 million in its IPO in February 2021, which was upsized due to strong demand and included the underwriters’ full over-allotment option.
Garth Ritchie, is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Centricus.

In 2021, Arqit Quantum Inc., a leader in quantum encryption technology, announced the completion of its business combination with Centricus Acquisition Corp.

The business combination was approved at the extraordinary general meeting of Centricus’ shareholders on August 31, 2021, and closed on September 3, 2021.
The combined company retains the name Arqit Quantum Inc..Arqit’s ordinary shares and warrants will trade on Nasdaq under the ticker symbols “ARQQ” and “ARQQW”, respectively.
David Williams, Arqit Founder and Chief Executive Officer, had stated:

Our QuantumCloud™ software, already launched this month to the first 20 customers, will run very efficiently and fast on virtually any device, creating keys that are zero trust and secure against all computational attacks.
“When we upgrade the system in two years’ time with the launch of quantum satellites, the entire system also becomes fully quantum-safe”, he added.
