Al Bundy was married with children in the American sitcom “Married… With Children”.

The story follows the life of Al Bundy, a high school footballer in Chicago, who later went into the shoe sales business.

Back home, he had a lazy wife, a beautiful and dim-witted daughter, Kelly, and a smart son, Bud.

Al finds himself living with a bunch of nosy neighbors – the stuffy Steve and Marcy Rhoades, both of whom he finds very annoying.

Marcy’s second husband Jefferson D’Arcy, was a white-collar criminal who later becomes Al’s sidekick.

“Married… With Children” was canceled in the year 1997. The show ran for 11 seasons on Fox, from 1987 to 1997.

How Long Did Married… With Children Run?

The sitcom ran for a very lengthy period of time with eleven seasons and 259 episodes.

The series’ first couple of seasons were recorded at ABC Television Center in Hollywood.

Seasons 3-8 were recorded at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood; while the last 3 seasons were recorded at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City.

Despite its cancellation, the show still made it to the top 100 on Entertainment Weekly’s “New TV Classics” list.

However, a rival animated series of the sitcom is currently in the works
