Viktor Hovland is a Norwegian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. As an amateur, he won the 2018 United States Amateur Championship and then became the first Norwegian to win on the PGA Tour (at the 2020 Puerto Rico Open) and on the European Tour (at the 2021 BMW International Open).

Hovland and Knight met at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in 2019, thanks to the role of Rickie Fowler caddie, Joe Skovron.
Their first official week together was at the 2019 Travelers Championship where he finished in a tie for 54th.
Prior to having Knight as his caddie, Hovland had his Oklahoma State college coach Alan Bratton on the bag in early 2019 but as he looked to turn pro, he wanted a more permanent caddie in place.
