Robert Fripp is an English musician, songwriter, record producer, and author. He is the husband of English musician, actress and TV presenter Toyah Willcox.

The couple has been married since 1986. The couple has no children and has arranged their wills to leave their estates to the establishment of a musical educational trust for children.

From December 1987 to July 1999, the couple lived in and renovated Reddish House, Cecil Beaton’s former home in the Wiltshire village of Broad Chalke.

Robert Fripp is best known as the guitarist and founding member of the progressive rock band King Crimson. He has extensive session and collaboration experience, most notably with David Bowie, Blondie, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Daryl Hall, Midge Ure, Talking Heads, and David Sylvian. He also collaborated with Tucker Martine and Steve Ball to create the startup sound for the Windows Vista operating system.

His discography includes appearances on over 700 official releases. His compositions are frequently characterised by unusual asymmetric rhythms that are influenced by classical and folk traditions. His inventions include the Frippertronics tape delay system and new tuning standards.
