Why Are They Called Skechers?

After about a year, Robert Greenberg struck out on his own with his first utility boot, and in 1992, Skechers was officially born after two of Greenberg’s children separately suggested the moniker, which is derived from the word, Skechers meaning a cool kid who has lots of money.
