Born on November 18, 1962, Hammett is now 61 years old. James Hetfield, the vocalist and rhythm guitarist, and Lars Ulrich, the drummer, closely follow Hammett in age, both born in August 1963, making them 59 years old. The youngest member, bassist Robert Trujillo, clocks in at 58 years old.
