American football commentator and former NFL player, Nate Burleson has joined Gayle King and Tony Dokopul. He is the co-host of “CBS Mornings,” a role he began in October 2021.

He was announced as the new member on board in August 2021. It was also revealed that Anthony Mason who was the co-host at the time will resume a new position as a reporter on culture. Burleson’s role was part of an agreement with the Mason Mega Agency network. This changes were made after Shawna Thomas joined the production team.

Thomas described Burleson as someone whose “energy was infectious in the studio and his versatility spanned all aspects of the show,” when he joined as a guest host.
Burleson also shared;
”Life is about being ready for the right opportunities, and I have been preparing for this moment since my first day on television. Having a chance to inform, enhance or simply brighten up the morning for our viewers is an honor.”
