Michiel Huisman is a Dutch actor known for appearing as Daario Naharis in the fourth and fifth seasons of the fantasy drama series Game of Thrones, and for portraying Cal Morrison in the science-fiction series Orphan Black.
Born on July 18, 1981, in Netherlands, Huisman’s journey in entertainment began in the Dutch music industry, where he was a singer and guitarist in the band Fontane.

The band had released a number of singles like “1+1=2” (2001), “Slapeloos” (2002), and “Neem Me Mee” (2003).

Huisman launched his acting career by the side with the Dutch soap opera Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden, where he was cast as Rover. Afterwards, he appeared in many other Dutch films such as “Costa! (2001), Full Moon Party (2002), Phileine Says Sorry (2003), Floris (2004) and Black Book (2006); and in the TV series De co-assistent (2007–10) and Bloedverwanten (2010).”
Huisman later made his way to America and Britain and became a regular face in many popular international films, beginning with the British TV series Dalziel and Pascoe.
He further went on to starr in “The Young Victoria, Treme, Nashville, World War Z, Wild, Orphan Black, Game of Thrones, and The Invitation.”
Other films in which he appeared include “The Age of Adaline, The Haunting of Hill House, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, A Boy Called Christmas, and The Flight Attendant.
In 2022, Huisman was cast as Prince in the action thriller series Echo 3.
