The greatest golfer of all time is Jack Nicklaus. Nicklaus, nicknamed the Golden Bear due to his robust size and blonde hair, holds the record for most major championships won with 18. In addition to those victories, he has 19 second-place finishes and 9 third-place results in majors.

When he became eligible, Nicklaus joined the Senior PGA Tour in 1990. Six years later, despite a constrained schedule, he had won ten tournaments on tour, including eight majors. He made his final appearances at the Masters and The Open Championships in 2005. In 1966, he became the first golfer to win the Masters twice in a row.

In his 25-year career, he won 73 PGA Tour events ( 3rd most all-time ). He was voted PGA Tour Player of the Year five times, PGA Tour Money Leader eight times, and PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award winner in 2005.

In 1974, Nicklaus was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Nicklaus is now the CEO of Nicklaus Design, one of the world’s largest golf course design and building firms.
