Who is the GOAT of soccer?

The GOAT of soccer, or as many people would say, “The King of Football” has been a debate for over a decade. Fortunately or unfortunately for many fans, the debate came to an end yesterday, December 18, 2022 when Argentina lifted the FIFA World Cup with Lionel Messi being the front-liner.

There has been an intense debate between Messi fans and Ronaldo fans as to who the greatest of all time (GOAT) footballer is, and as sad and painful as it might be to Ronaldo fans, Lionel Messi has emerged victorious after winning his first career world cup over Ronaldo. Messi fans have argued that, if Ronaldo fans still insists their player is the GOAT, he should just present his world cup on the table for an accurate and fair challenge, and sadly, Ronaldo has not even gotten to the finals of a World Cup in his career, thoughtless of lifting a trophy.

Messi has now won World Cup, Copa America, UEFA Cup Championship, FIFA U-20 World Cup, and seven Ballon D’Or awards, while Ronaldo has won UEFA Nations, League, UEFA European Championship, and five Ballon D’Or awards.
