Lynyrd Skynyrd band is currently not as vibrant as it used to be as all founding members of the band have died. However, the past lead singer of the band was Ronnie Van Zant (1964-1987). Johnny Van Zant is currently the lead singer.

The last surviving founding member of the band, Gary Rossington was reported dead on Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Even though the original members of the band are not alive, the band is still touring as of 2023. According to sources, there is an ongoing tour across two countries and also has 39 upcoming concerts.
