Among his most famous works are the proto-Cubist Les Demoiselles d’Avignon (1907), and the anti-war painting Guernica (1937), a dramatic portrayal of the bombing of Guernica by German and Italian air forces amid the Spanish Civil War.
Who is Picasso’s enemy? Who was Picasso jealous of?

Pablo Picasso’s enemy was Henri Matisse.

Henri Matisse was a French visual artist, known for both his use of colour and his fluid and original draughtsmanship. He was a draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor, but is known as a painter.
Picasso and Matisse were rivals. They both emerged in early 20th-century France.
Picasso and Matisse admired one another but also eyed each other up in a tense, cynical way.
The most outrageous example of their lifelong tensions came when Picasso introduced his new lover Francois Gilot to Matisse. The sensual artist of colour charmed Gilot so much so that Picasso became sexually jealous. He was intimidated by Matisse as a man as well as an artist.
