Joanna Moore, a seasoned film and television actress, graced screens from 1956 to 1976.

During this period, Moore’s talent illuminated 17 feature films and left an unforgettable imprint in nearly a hundred television series episodes.

The 1960s saw her career reaching new heights as she showcased her skills in beloved shows like Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Perry Mason, The Fugitive, Bewitched, and The Real McCoys.

A standout moment in Moore’s television journey was her recurring role as Peggy “Peg” McMillan, the love interest of Sheriff Andy Taylor in four episodes of The Andy Griffith Show from 1962 to 1963.

Additionally, she made memorable guest appearances in iconic Western series, including The Rifleman, Wagon Train, Gunsmoke, The Rebel, The High Chaparral, The Wild Wild West, and The Virginian.

Moore was married to actor Ryan O’Neal, although their marriage only lasted four years. Together they had two children.

Moore later married roofing contractor Gary L. Reeves in 1975.

Moore died of lung cancer on November 22, 1997, at the age of 63.
