Nathan Baker is a British former football player who played as a central defender for Aston Villa and Lincoln City.

Born on April 23, 1991, in Worcester, United Kingdom, Baker played football for the England U19, U20, and U21 teams.

In addition to Aston Villa and Lincoln City, Baker played for Millwall and Bristol City before his retirement.

Baker joined Aston Villa in 2004 when he was 13 years old, and in 2007, he made his official Academy debut.

In addition to winning the national championship game against Manchester City and making 23 appearances for the Academy team, he had a productive 2007–2008 year.

Baker signed a four-year contract and joined Bristol City in 2017, where he played as a left and center back.

Baker renewed his two-year contract with the team in 2021, but he later suffered a head injury during a match against Sheffield United.

Baker announced his retirement from professional football on August 29, 2022, due to frequent concussions as a result of the injury.
