Mystikal was born on September 22, 1970, in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. He rose into the spotlight with his 2000 hit “Shake Ya Ass,” while signed to Master P’s No Limit Records in the ’90s. He has also been signed to Bigg Truck, Big Boy, No Limit, Jive, Ca$h Money, and the Universal Republic.

Mystikal is no stranger to criminal charges. He was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual battery in 2004. Following his release in 2010, he registered as a sex offender in Louisiana.
