Jesse Tyler Ferguson is an American actor best known for portraying Mitchell Pritchett on the sitcom Modern Family, for which he earned five consecutive nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson was born on October 22, 1975, in Missoula, Montana, United States of America. Jesse Tyler Ferguson has appeared in several Broadway productions, including On the Town, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Fully Committed.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s interest in acting began at eight when he joined the Albuquerque Children’s Theater. After high school, he attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson made his television debut in 2000 with a guest appearance on the CBS sitcom The Class. He has also appeared in films like Untraceable, Ice Age: Collision Course, and Extreme Movie.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson has appeared in theatre adaptations of A Winter’s Tale, The Producers, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Spamalot, and The Merchant of Venice.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson has also appeared as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance, and opposed actress Chrissy Metz in a 2017 episode of TBS’s Drop the Mic.

In September 2012, Jesse Tyler Ferguson announced his engagement to lawyer Justin Mikita, his boyfriend of nearly two years. They married in Manhattan on July 20, 2013, with the playwright and screenwriter Tony Kushner officiating at their wedding.
