Satya Narayana Nadella, an Indian-born American business entrepreneur, was born on August 19, 1967.

Nadella was born into a Telugu-speaking Hindu household in Hyderabad, present-day Telangana, India.

Prabhavati, his mother, was a Sanskrit lecturer, and Bukkapuram Nadella Yugandhar, his father, was an Indian Administrative Service official from the 1962 batch.

Before graduating from the Manipal Institute of Technology in Karnataka with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1988, Nadella attended the Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet.

After that, Nadella moved to the United States to pursue an M.S. in computer science at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he graduated in 1990.
