According to TMZ, the man who was punched by Mike Tyson on a JetBlue flight has a lengthy criminal record.

Melvin Townsend, III is his name, and this isn’t his first encounter with cops. He’s been convicted of fraud, grand theft, burglary, drug possession, and trafficking in stolen property.
In terms of specifics, the 36-year-old broke into a house in 2018 and stole a trailer, which he hitched to his pickup. Oxycodone was the drug in question.
