Who is Laura Muir training partner?

Jemma Reekie is Laura Muir’s training partner. Laura Muir and Jemma Reekie became housemates during the lockdown and they started training together. They are both coached by Andy Young

Muir and Reekie competed in the Monaco Diamond League meeting in August 2020 after competing in Trieste where Muir finished 0.02 seconds ahead of Reeke in the 800m.

Jemma Reekie finished fourth in the 800m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, just missing out on a bronze medal.

Reekie won both the 800m and 1500m events at the 2019 European U23 Championships, completing a rare double.

She won the 1500m title at the 2017 European Under-20 Championships at the age of 19, and she also finished fourth in the 3000m.

Reekie broke three British indoor records in eight days in February 2020, first for the 800m and then for the mile and 1500m. Laura Muir, her Scottish training partner, reclaimed the 1500m record in 2021.

Jemma Reekie won one British title (indoor 1500m in 2019) and four junior titles.
