The owner of the Vegas Golden Knights is William P. “Bill” Foley II. He is an American businessman and the Chairman of Fidelity National Financial, a leading provider of title insurance and mortgage services.

Bill Foley has been involved in various business ventures throughout his career and has a strong interest in sports.

He is the managing general partner of Black Knight Football and Entertainment, which owns AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League and FC Lorient in the French Ligue 1.

Foley is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Black Knight Sports & Entertainment, which owns the Vegas Golden Knights.

In 2016, he was awarded an expansion franchise by the NHL, and the team was named the Vegas Golden Knights. The Golden Knights made their debut during the 2017-2018 NHL season and quickly became a prominent team in the league.

The Golden Knights’ quick rise to prominence and their success in reaching the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season brought a lot of attention to the franchise and solidified its place in the Las Vegas sports community. They won their first Stanley Cup on June 13 2023 defeating the Florida Panthers in five games.
